At New Discovery Baptist Church, learning is more than just listening. Our Sunday School Sessions are geared to allow anyone who is comfortable to engage in the conversation, from a brand-new churchgoer to a seasoned theologian.

Part of rediscovering Church is rediscovering the learning environment. Most people don’t learn best when they’re being lectured. Instead, our team of teachers always leave space for the group to share their thoughts, feelings and questions. With that said, we’ll never expect you to share or read, unless you want to.

Bring your bible if you have one, we can provide one if you don’t. But more importantly, bring an open heart and an open mind, and let’s learn together.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

Here at New Discovery, we want God’s word to help us grow. We want to be equipped for every good work, so that we can be used by God to reach the world with His message. By allowing God to speak to us through His word, we will better understand His plan for us.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

Everything God did, He did with the intention of motivating His people to reach the world with His truth and love. As we continue this learning journey together, we rest assured that God has a plan for us, has provided the means for us to achieve it and is preparing our hearts to step up to the plate and trust Him as we reach our community together.

“And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.”

Join us Sunday mornings at 9 am EST. Whether in person at 111 Old Woman’s Run Rd, or online in the comfort of your home, our goal is to encourage curiosity and engage everyone with God’s word through a Bible study approach that gives everyone value and a voice. I will say that it’s far easier to have a voice when you’re in the room!
